Projects

Most of my projects are aimed at making radio more accessible, enjoyable and straightforward for myself. If anyone finds them useful you're most welcome to use and modify them to your heart's content.

Main window · demo mode, tuned to the FT8 calling frequency on 20 m

A desktop front end for the Icom IC-7300, IC-9700 and IC-R8600. Full CAT control, audio and band waterfalls, memories, scanning, live DX spots, logging with ADIF, and a CW keyer – all in one executable.

  • Plug the radio in with one USB cable – it finds the serial port, sound card and model by itself
  • Band waterfall from the radio's own scope, with the band plan and calling frequencies overlaid
  • Audio waterfall from the radio's USB sound card, with CW, NAVTEX and weather-fax decoders
  • Memories, scanning, live DX cluster spots and a log with ADIF import and export
  • CW keyer with macros, voice memories and WAV recording
  • Demo mode with a simulated radio, so you can try it with no hardware
